4.7 Joos de Momper II

Some of the best paintings to be found in the Winter Room, comparable with high quality works in major European museums, are the ones by Joos de Momper II (1564-1635), of which two were painted in collaboration with Jan Brueghel I (1568-1625) [1-2]. A group of twenty paintings in the room is related to De Momper: some are actually by his own hand, some are fine paintings from his studio and others are merely export paintings in the style of De Momper.1
